I wanted "Whispering Waters" to be a lovely landscape painting that transports the viewer to a tranquil oasis of sheer fantacy. A place to think and be at peace with a cascading waterfall tumbling gracefully down rocky steps while creating a soothing symphony of flowing water. Can you smell the wild garden of vibrant flowers by the water's edge?
I used soft tones in various shades of pink, peach, and yellow orange for the flowers to create that sensation and to suggest a place that is visually soft and lovely. This is how I would create my backyard if I weren't living in a desert area. I could look out my window in the morning or mid-afternoon and take in the beauty.
Overall, "Whispering Waters" is a dream put to canvas of tranquil beauty, a visual meditation of the restorative power of nature. For me, it evokes a sense of calm and solitude, offering a respite from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and inviting the viewer to immerse themselves in the quiet beauty of this idyllic landscape.
